WHAT TYPE OF SURVEY DO I NEED?

RICS Building Surveys across Cambridgeshire

A bespoke Building Survey, also known as a Building Survey Level 3 or Level 3 Home Survey, is the most detailed type of inspection and report carried out for purchasers of residential property. It is usually appropriate for properties which are in a neglected condition, of unusual construction or built prior to approximately 1880. Particular concerns can be addressed and preliminary advice can be given on proposed alterations. For those built since the late Victorian period with conventional construction and in good condition, a Level 2 Home Survey is a more economical service covering all the necessary areas.

A Level 3 Building Survey is a comprehensive inspection of a property reported in a style to suit the property and your specific requirements. It is suitable for all properties, especially:

It examines all accessible parts of the property, and you can ask to have specific areas included so it covers any particular concerns you have about the building. It is a product which can be tailored to your needs, agreed upon between you and your surveyor. We would be pleased to meet you at the property when we do the inspection to discuss the initial findings.

A Level 3 Building Survey can include details of:

A Building Survey does not always include a valuation but can be provided if you need one.
